Our Story

ANTEX KNITTING MILLS is a vertical knitting, dyeing and printing company established in Los Angeles in 1973.  We have operated continuously for the past 51 years and produce over 1.5 million yards of fabric per week.  We have grown to be the largest knitting mill in the United States.  The company is privately owned and has no outstanding debt on its equipment and real estate. We have significant working capital, no long-term debt and have been profitable for each of our 51 years in operation.  A large and loyal customer base provides stability by ensuring a steady flow of orders.  We sell fabric to the top brands and retailers in the world, and we are strategically located to ship to sewing factories in Mexico under NAFTA and Central America under CAFTA.

We are constantly investing in new, state of the art equipment and world class personnel.  In the last five years alone, we have purchased and installed over 100 new knitting machines, 20 dye machines, two continuous dyeing and bleaching ranges, a sueding machine, a line of 7 machines to produce polar fleece and eight high speed ten chamber fully computerized frames. We have also added three highly skilled dyeing experts to our team.

• PyroSafe by Antex® is a line of flame resistant cotton knits for the protective clothing industry, offering comfort, versatility and durability.

• Matchmaster prints by Antex California are produced by fully staffed print studio offers design and development for printed fabrics, both pigment and wet prints, for apparel and swimwear.

• Performance Cotton is an innovative line of cotton fabrics for the high performance and undergarment markets.  This line features our proprietary M4 moisture management technology.

• Forecast Fabrics is a line of high end fabrics and fibers targeted at the Contemporary Market.

• Green Lineä by Antex offers a variety of organic fabrics, including organic cotton, recycled polyester, soy and bamboo blends.
